We are looking for a Software Engineer IV to maintain and build upon the existing solutions innovate forward-thinking applications for our product. You will be responsible for defining user experience workflows based on product vision and building responsive, device agnostic web components to support our custom applications. As a Tier IV Software Engineer, you will be responsible for sizable features and/or smaller projects and be expected to contribute heavily to system design discussions.
What You’ll Do
- Owning significant projects to ensure customer needs are met with creation of applications and interfaces that anticipate and solve complex problems faced by users of the platform
- Set the technical direction of the complex projects by facilitating collaboration on development requirements
- Leading design discussions and setting requirements to define user experience workflows, and implement design wireframes, and identify required data elements and API interactions to support front-end requirements
- Expertly influence the architecture, design and building of secure back-end web applications and components to support new and existing product initiatives, while also providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Lead the collaboration of the crafting of aesthetically and functionally compelling user experiences
- Manage and prioritize daily work according to sprint backlog with significant ability to self-organize
- Mentor less experienced software developers where needed to overcome technical and development hurdles
- Develop and articulate accurate and comprehensive project documentation including code and solution specifications
- Review the implementation and completion of the project
- Partner with management to make strategic decisions
Your Background
- 7+ years full-time Software Engineering work experience
- 7+ years’ experience web and API architecture, including .NET Core, .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET MVC, WebAPIs, SignalR, and modern API design
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining secure data handling practices for PII/sensitive data including encryption, access controls, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc)
- Significant experience using SOLID or similar software design patterns
- Lead architectural decision-making capabilities
- Experience adding new features and resolving bugs in large API projects
- Experience with Git or similar source control systems
- Significant experience consuming diverse APIs for multiple system integration patterns
- Working knowledge of enterprise integration and third-party enterprise integration tools
- Experience successfully communicating technical ideas to a variety of stakeholders
- Experience coaching and mentoring other software engineers
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, the entity model, security model, and Web services preferred
- Understanding of device agnostic, responsive development, and design preferred
Compensation & Benefits
The target annual salary for this role performed in the US is $145,000-$165.000. The exact compensation will be determined by the skill and experience of qualified candidates, and can change at anytime based on local hiring market conditions.
